What VITA Pulse is
VITA Pulse is a knowledge and awareness resource for accountancy firms. Its purpose is to raise awareness of VAT across the profession and to help you identify areas, or red flags, that may need closer attention.
The content is general in nature. It reflects our understanding of the position at the time of publication and is written for a professional audience, not for any particular client or set of facts. In that sense it is the same kind of content we share through our articles and our posts on platforms such as LinkedIn.
What VITA Pulse is not
VITA Pulse is not VAT advice, and it is not a substitute for advisory work. It is not a research or library service, and it is not a helpline.
Nothing on VITA Pulse should be treated as advice on a specific client matter. VAT outcomes turn on the particular facts, and the same question can have a different answer once those facts are known. Applying general commentary to a specific situation without proper advice is where things go wrong.
No reliance
You should not rely on VITA Pulse content when making a decision on a specific client matter. If you act on VITA Pulse content in place of formally engaged advice, you do so on your own responsibility, and VITA accepts no liability for any loss arising from that reliance.
Where a matter is significant, time-critical, or turns on the specific facts, please take advice before you act.
Keeping content current
We work to keep VITA Pulse accurate and up to date, but we do so on a best-efforts basis. VAT law, HMRC practice, and case law all move, and there may be a period before new developments are reflected. We do not warrant that the content is complete, current, or free from error, and it should be read with that in mind.
When you need advice
Once you have identified a matter that needs advice, VITA is very well placed to help, and we would be glad to discuss terms.
Advice on a specific client matter is a separate service, provided on a formally engaged, paid basis and preceded by an engagement letter and onboarding. Straightforward questions can often be handled on a retainer or a low fixed fee, while more complex matters are scoped and quoted before any work begins. Please note that we do not offer free one-off consultations.
To bring a matter to us, please get in touch in your usual way if you already have a VAT relationship with us. If not, email contact@vita-uk.com and we will take it from there.

By becoming a member, you acknowledge and agree that:
- VITA Pulse is a knowledge and awareness resource, not VAT advice
- VITA Pulse is not a substitute for advice on a specific client matter
- you will not rely on VITA Pulse content in place of formally engaged advice
- advice on a specific matter is available from VITA as a separate, formally engaged service
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here is the one that applies to your use of VITA Pulse.
