What VITA Pulse is
VITA Pulse is a knowledge product. Its purpose is to raise awareness of VAT across the accountancy sector and to help you identify the red flags. It is not a substitute for advisory work: it covers the downstream of raising awareness, not the upstream of advice on a specific client matter. Please treat it as you would one of our LinkedIn posts or published articles. It is general guidance, not a view on your client’s facts, and it should not be relied upon for a specific decision.
When you need advice
Once a red flag has been identified, you may need advice, and VITA is very well placed to help. We would be glad to discuss terms. In short, straightforward questions can be handled on a retainer or a low fixed fee, and more complex matters are scoped and quoted before any work begins. All advice is provided on a formally engaged, paid basis, preceded by an engagement letter and onboarding. Please note that we do not offer free one-off consultations.

Essential VAT Support
£125 flat rate per question, or a fixed retainer
For your shorter questions, we are available by phone or email. This covers all scenarios that take up to 30 minutes to understand and answer, freeing up your team’s time to get on with adding your own specialist value.
Often, on understanding the problem, it becomes apparent that the client is asking the wrong question, or not the full question. Identifying this early saves time, energy, and cost. We bring the experience that means we often know the right questions, even when others do not.
Expert VAT Guidance
Bespoke pricing, from £150 to £345 per hour
When a query goes beyond the Essential VAT Support model, we agree a scope of work with you in advance and quote a fee estimate, giving you a degree of certainty over cost and allowing you to consider your onward billing.
We work with many accountants, and have experience of arrangements where we act as an outsourced advisor, or very much part of the team on a white label basis. Every case is different, and you know your clients and what will work best for them.
Strategic CBAM Support
Bespoke pricing, from £150 to £495 per hour
Our CBAM specialists provide strategic advisory services tailored to your clients’ needs. These include, but are not limited to, impact assessments, readiness reviews, gap analyses, strategic optimisation advice, and bespoke assistance.
All prices exclude VAT and are reviewed annually on 1 October. Fixed price retainers are available and depend on the size of the firm.
